The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra has appeared on IMEI, confirming that it is now in development.
The phone was spotted bearing the ASUSAI2501H model number, and it is expected to be a twin of one of the models in the company’s upcoming ROG Phone 9 series. To recall, the Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro were spotted months ago carrying the ASUSAI2501C model number.
Based on the similarity of the phones’ model numbers, the Zenfone 12 Ultra may indeed share the same set of features and details as the ROG Phone 9 series models. This is not surprising, nonetheless, as Asus already did it blatantly in Zenfone 11 Ultra and ROG Phone 8.
Details about the Asus phones remain scarce, but the devices are reportedly coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and at least 12GB RAM. More details should surface soon, so stay tuned for more updates!
