A new tip suggests that the iQOO 16 will face an outrageous price increase in India.
The iQOO model is now in China, and the phone is rumored to be coming to India soon. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the phone is now being tested in India, which means its launch is just around the corner.
However, it will arrive with bad news for consumers in India. According to the leak, it will cost nearly ₹100,000 (1,039). This is a huge jump from the iQOO15’s debut price, which started at only ₹72,999 (758).

The price hike is likely still due to the ongoing memory crisis in the industry, even affecting current models on the market. Even the iQOO 15 was affected by multiple price hikes and now starts at ₹85,999 ($893).
On a positive note, the iQOO 16 brings a handful of improvements. However, it will still be a challenge for iQOO to sell the phone, with the brand often positioning its number series as an affordable flagship.
