The iQOO 16 is finally here, and it brings a handful of impressive specs that can threaten its competitors.
The brand unveiled the new iQOO flagship model in China today. It brings some improvements, including a new design featuring a new camera island layout.
It also houses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, which is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
As previously reported, it is also armed with a powerful display, thanks to its 6.85” Samsung M16 AMOLED, which boasts a 2K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen is also said to offer up to 5000Hz of instantaneous touch sampling rate. It also promises 10,000-nit local peak brightness, a 100% first-frame brightness ratio, and “minimal” ghosting.

iQOO also brought the improvements in the camera department with the addition of a bigger 50MP main 1/1.3” camera with OIS. It works alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom.
Compared to the iQOO 15, which has a 7000mAh cell, the new device packs a larger 8400mAh battery. It, nonetheless, adopted its predecessor’s 100W wired and 40W wireless charging support.
The iQOO 16 comes in Chasing Light, Racetrack, and Legend colorways. Meanwhile, its configurations include 12GB/256GB (CNY5999/$894), 12GB/512GB (CNY6799/$1013), 16GB/512GB (CNY7499/$1117), and16GB/1TB (CNY8499/$1266).
