Is iQOO 15 getting a price hike?

There’s new speculation that the upcoming iQOO 15 will be priced higher than its predecessor.

October will be a huge month for smartphone fans. One of the fans rumored to come next month is the iQOO 15, which is now getting a compact model in its series. The vanilla variant itself is also expected to welcome some upgrades. One includes its camera department, which is now rumored to be getting a periscope unit that its predecessor is missing. Moreover, the phone is said to feature the “most expensive” 2K Samsung flat display, which has “a hardware quality comparable to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s.” The phone is also expected to arrive with wireless charging support.

To this end, reputable leaker Digital Chat Station underscored that the prices of these components are high. Moreover, the tipster shared that there are general price increases in the industry and later questioned the pricing of the iQOO 15. According to the account, with the obvious cost increase in creating the phone, it will be “unrealistic” for the brand not to increase the price of the iQOO model.

This will be a huge move for iQOO since the iQOO 13 is regarded as one of the most affordable flagships in the market. To recall, it debuted with the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, but remained one of the cheapest phones in its segment. OnePlus is also rumored to follow this path by making the OnePlus 15 much more affordable by removing some of its expensive components.

According to leaks, the iQOO 15 is arriving with the following:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • 16GB max RAM
  • 1TB max storage
  • 6.8″ flat 2K Samsung AMOLED with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
  • 50MP 1/1.5″ main camera
  • 50MP periscope
  • 7000mAh battery
  • 100W charging
  • Wireless charging support
  • Dual speakers
  • Large haptic motor
