MIUI 12/MIUI 12.5 missing Gaussian blur on Control Center finally gets a workaround

MIUI 12.5 does restore blur on some devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 & other low budget devices.

Moreover, it may still take up to a couple of months for the update to trickle down to all of the budget devices, so there’s still a need for a method that will get rid of the loathsome grey background and restore the Control Center to its full glory.

Thankfully, a YouTuber has now shared a rather easy way to bring back Gaussian blur to the MIUI 12/12.5 Control Center using a few easy steps without the need for rooting the device. It will work on any Xiaomi or Poco device so all are welcome.

The method is simple. All you need to do first is download the SetEdit app from the Play Store.

Next, open the app and look for the “deviceLevelList” parameter within. Clicking it will reveal its values that will read something like “v:1,c:2,g:1”. These should be replaced with “v:1,c:3,g:3” by clicking the “EDIT VALUE” button.

Then just save the changes and reboot your device to enjoy the new look of your MIUI 12/12.5 Control Center with the blur enabled and all.
