Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 has been certified in China, and it could arrive sooner than the brand’s numbered flagship.
The Xiaomi 18 series is in the works, and rumors say the first models (including the Xiaomi 18 Pro) will launch in September. Ahead of that, a new tip says that the Chinese giant will actually announce a foldable flagship—the Mix Fold 5.
The device is believed to be the 2608BPX34C smartphone that was recently registered in China. Tipster Digital Chat Station says it will arrive sooner than the Xiaomi 18 series, which remains unregistered. DCS also believed that it could be the first phone to shift with the HyperOS 4.
According to speculation, it could arrive in August, a month earlier than the usual Xiaomi series announcement. To recall, the brand usually has to wait until September for the latest Snapdragon series before announcing its flagship. This won’t be the case for the Mix Fold 5, which is believed to be coming with the in-house Xiaomi Xring O3 chip.
According to rumors, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 will feature a 7.5 to 7.6-inch display, a 200MP main camera, a 6000mAh battery, wireless charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Xring O3. It will be priced around CN¥10,000 ($1,477) in China. To recall, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 launched at CN¥8,999 ($1,329).
