Nothing ‘Dream Phone’ concept will satisfy every user’s fantasies

Nothing has once again shown us that it is listening to its fans by publishing the Nothing Dream Phone concept inspired by its community’s demands.

According to the brand, the idea is to include all of its fans’ most requested features into a compact body, with a display below 6 inches. Nothing’s Sam Clayton explained that the concept features a phone that is 14% smaller than the Nothing (4a) Pro. He noted that the team CT-scanned a Nothing (4a) model to see how much space they could work on to include all the essential features fans want.

Some of these details include the 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot, which are now gradually disappearing from the latest models. The concept also shows the phone’s back with an island barely protruding. Clayton noted that this could address the user’s concern about wobbly phones when placed back-facing a surface.

Even more, it sports a selfie camera that pops out of the upper side frame when you need it. In addition to having a hole-free display, Clayton explained that it should also impress users who place great value on privacy.

Of course, the brand had to make some tradeoffs to achieve these details. One includes the battery, which had to be reduced to 3800mAh. Clayton also added that to create a really small phone, they would have to go for a lower display resolution, a downgraded chip, and the removal of the in-display fingerprint scanner.

On a positive note, the brand’s content creator shared that the phone will be completely free from bloatware, something that pesters mid-range and budget model users nowadays.

The entire presentation really impresses, especially since we are talking about a super-compact model with several valuable features. Yet, Nothing has no plans to put the concept into production, which is probably why it is called the Dream Phone.
