It’s already 2026, and we still haven’t heard any official announcement about the OnePlus Open 2. According to a new leak, that’s because it has already been axed.
Expectations about the arrival of the phone started in 2024, following the launch of the first OnePlus Open in 2023. However, despite rumors that year and in 2025, the brand remains dead silent about its next book-style foldable.
Earlier reports suggested that the phone had been canceled, and a new claim echoed it. According to tips, the phone was actually planned to be unveiled in July and was already in advanced testing stages, only to be scrapped. The phone was rumored to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 16GB/1TB configuration, a 6.6″ 165Hz external display, an 8.12″ 165Hz main display, a 32MP selfie, and a 6000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
