According to a new leak, OnePlus is not actually making a new lineup with a Turbo moniker. Instead, the company will include its first Turbo model in its current Ace series.
Weeks ago, we heard that OnePlus would soon announce its first Turbo model, which speculations say would start the OnePlus Turbo series. However, a well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, shared today that this is actually not the case. Instead of a whole new lineup, this Turbo device is allegedly joining the Ace series. This makes sense, especially since the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro was reportedly canceled.
According to reports, the Ace Turbo model will debut in November. DCS talked about the phone weeks ago, claiming that it features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, 100W charging, and a flat BOE display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. A different tipster said the Turbo phone would be “more affordable” than the brand’s earlier offerings. Yet, the tipster suggested it would offer a better performance that would impress buyers from different segments.
In his recent post, DCS echoed the details, including the said chip and display specs. However, from the 7650mAh capacity he earlier mentioned, the battery is said to be now starting at 8000mAh.
