Oppo’s 100MP ‘square’ selfie cam to come in Find X10 series

New details about Oppo’s 100MP selfie camera have surfaced online.

The Chinese company is rumored to be preparing a high-resolution selfie camera system. While earlier reports did not indicate which model would use the said selfie camera, tipster Digital Chat Station’s latest post suggests that it would debut in the Oppo Find X10 series.

The leaker reiterated that it is indeed a 100MP selfie camera. DCS added that it would employ a Samsung lens with a 1/2.5″ size. It is believed to be a 1:1 square selfie unit that should deliver better selfie shots, whether in portrait or landscape orientation.

To recall, the highest selfie camera resolution available in the market now is limited to 60MP, found in models like the Huawei Nova 10 Pro, Nova 11 Pro, and Nova 12s. Most flagship models nowadays feature 50MP front cameras with AI integration. Meanwhile, the Find X9 features a 32MP selfie camera, while the top-of-the-line Find X9 Ultra has a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus.
