POCO India hinted at the global launch of its upcoming POCO F-series smartphone just a few days ago. Unlike the GT series, it will be an all-arounder smartphone that adheres to the philosophy of Everything You Need. The POCO F4 will finally be released as a true successor to the legendary POCO F1. Now, the brand has confirmed the chipset details of the upcoming smartphone.
POCO F4 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G
POCO India’s Twitter handle has posted a tweet confirming the processor detail of the upcoming POCO F4 smartphone. According to the brand, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. The brand quotes “PerFormance that will tempt you to keep doing more! Get ready to experience the most optimized processor from the Snapdragon 800 series.” The brand has further said that it’s the most optimized Snapdragon 800 series chipset.
The device was previously tipped to the rebranded version of Redmi K40S, which is now hinted at by the POCO as the same chipset power-ups the Redmi K40S smartphone too. Furthermore, the Redmi K40s device is powered by the same processor as the Redmi K40 device. The Redmi K40S, like the Redmi K40, has a 6.67-inch 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED panel. This display has an FHD+ resolution.
Inside this massive camera area, there is a 64MP Sony OV64B with an f1.79 aperture. The addition of OIS support distinguishes this sensor from the Redmi K40. The OIS technology almost completely eliminates flickering and also prevents flickering while shooting video. In addition to the 48MP main camera, there is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth camera. The front camera has a resolution of 20MP and an aperture of f2.5.
