iQOO is reportedly preparing a new model that will launch at the end of the year.
The iQOO 13 is now available in the market, and it is believed that the brand is now working on its successor. However, instead of using “14” as part of its monicker, the next iQOO series is going to directly skip to “15.”
In one of the first leaks about the upcoming series, it is believed that the brand will release two models this time: iQOO 15 and iQOO 15 Pro. To recall, the iQOO 13 only comes in a vanilla variant and lacks the Pro model. Tipster Smart Pikachu shared some details of one of the models, which is believed to be the iQOO 15 Pro.
According to the leaker, the phone will be launched at the end of the year, so we expect it to also feature Qualcomm’s next flagship chip: the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The chip will be complemented by a battery with a capacity of around 7000mAh.
The display department will include a flat 2K OLED with eye-protection capabilities and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. To recall, its predecessor comes with a 6.82″ micro-quad curved BOE Q10 LTPO 2.0 AMOLED with 1440 x 3200px resolution, 1-144Hz variable refresh rate, 1800nits peak brightness, and ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Ultimately, the phone is reportedly getting a periscope telephoto unit. To compare, the iQOO 13 only features a camera system with a setup comprised of a 50MP IMX921 main (1/1.56″) camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto (1/2.93″) with 2x zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide (1/2.76″, f/2.0) camera.
