Today, Qualcomm announced new SOC Snapdragon 782G. This new chipset is a refreshed version of the previous Snapdragon 778G+. Now it can reach higher clock speed. There is no significant difference compared to its predecessor.

New processor Snapdragon 782G that will power the mid-range smartphones of 2023 is here! Snapdragon 782G is built on the same 6nm TSMC (N6) manufacturing technique as the previous Snapdragon 778G+. It has an 8-core CPU setup that can reach a clock speed of 2.7GHz. 1x 2.7GHz Cortex-A78+ 3x 2.2GHz Cortex-A78+ 4x 1.9GHz Cortex A55 cores work in the new chipset. Adreno 642L is used on the GPU side. It is said to have a 10% gpu performance increase compared to Snapdragon 778G+.
Other features are almost exactly the same as Snapdragon 778G+. Triple 14-bit ISP continues to exist in the same way. On the modem side, Snapdragon X53 5G appears. It can reach 3.7Gbps download and 1.6Gbps upload speeds. It supports Wifi 6 / 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
This SOC will be used in POCO X5 Pro, which will be POCO’s latest X-series model. POCO X5 Pro has not been introduced yet, but some details have emerged. Codenamed “redwood”. It will be powered by Snapdragon 782G chipset. Model number is 22101320G. At first we thought this model number belonged to POCO X5 5G. This has changed with recent information.
