Realme could soon unveil a device with a 300W fast-charging power. According to a company executive, the company is now testing the technology, which could quickly allow its devices to charge batteries within a few minutes.
Realme Europe CEO Francis Wong shared the news during an interview in The Tech Chap. According to Wong, the company is now testing the creation. The executive didn’t elaborate on the details of the project, but the move could allow it to compete with other brands planning to launch the same feature in their phones in the future.
To recall, Redmi showed off the power of its 300W fast charging in the past, allowing a modified Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition with a 4,100mAh battery to charge within five minutes. Soon, Xiaomi is expected to launch a device with the said capability.
Realme, on the other hand, already owns one of the fastest-charging smartphones in the industry: the Realme GT Neo 5, which supports up to 240W of fast charging. According to the company, its battery can get 50% of charging power within 4 minutes, while charging it completely to 100% will only take 10 minutes.
News about the Realme phone with the said 300W charging capability remains unavailable, but with the company now racing against time to beat Xiaomi, leaks about it could be just around the corner.
