Realme has finally confirmed that the Realme GT 8 series will launch next Tuesday in China.

The news follows several leaks and teasers about the lineup. The company also recently confirmed its partnership with the Japanese brand Ricoh. The new team-up is said to bring a huge upgrade to the GT lineup’s camera system, specifically in the Pro model. Days ago, the company released some sample photos of the said device, highlighting its impressive street photography power.
According to the brand, the collaboration brings Ricoh technology to both the device’s hardware and software sections. Some of the notable features Ricoh puts into the GT 8 Pro include the new viewfinder mode and GR 1:1 photography experience. The phone also offers five classic tones, including the customizable Ricoh GR mode. Despite only offering a standard 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera, it features a five-layer ultra-low-reflection coating and a 7P lens. Moreover, its system includes a powerful 200MP periscope lens.
Both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are expected to offer a 2K 144Hz display, a 3D ultrasonic sensor, and metal frames. The Pro will also feature a 7000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, an R1 gaming graphics chip, Android 16-based Realme UI 6, and 120W charging. It is also expected to arrive with an IP69 rating, better haptics, and a trio of camera lenses (50MP LYT-808 1/1.4″ main camera with OIS + 50MP JN5 ultrawide + 200MP 1/1.56″ HP5 periscope telephoto with telemacro).
