Realme Neo 8’s 8000mAh battery, other specs tipped

Some details of the Realme Neo 8 have emerged online. One includes its huge battery, which is allegedly hitting over 8000mAh capacity.

The Realme Neo 7 was introduced in December last year, so we can expect its successor to be approaching its launch timeline already. In line with this, tipster Smart Pikachu revealed some information about the phone.

According to the leaker, the circulating rumors about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip of the device are “not quite right.” Since the Neo 7 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ and the Dimensity 9400+ chip is now available, leaks about the Neo 8 shifting to a Qualcomm chip are actually quite hard to believe.

According to the account, the phone is also equipped with a metal frame. Meanwhile, its fingerprint scanner is being upgraded. Additionally, the Neo 7’s optical-type sensor is reportedly being replaced with an ultrasonic scanner in the next model.

The battery will also be enlarged. From the 7000mAh in its predecessor, the upcoming device is said to feature a larger cell with a capacity of over 8000mAh. According to earlier reports, the Neo 8 series will feature batteries with capacities ranging from 8000mAh to 10000mAh.
