Red Magic 11 Pro design, cooling system confirmed… but here’s the caveat

Nubia has finally shared the official posters of the Red Magic 11 Pro series, revealing its design and cooling system. However, there’s one detail that might disappoint fans.

The Red Magic 11 Pro and Red Magic 11 Pro+, both armed with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, will be unveiled this Friday. To build up the hype, the company recently released the design of the series, showing us the same futuristic design language we saw in its earlier offerings. According to the company, the Pro model will be offered in Transparent Deuterium Silver Wing, Transparent Deuterium Dark Night, Dark Knight, and Silver Wing Ares options.

The series’ main highlight is the combination of water and air cooling technologies. The back panel shows the former through a water-cooling ring with a blue coolant liquid. The fan, on the other hand, is a Turbo Fan 4.0 system with a 24,000rpm speed.

However, unlike earlier leak reports claiming it would be IP68 rated, the system is only said to be IPX8 supported. This means that while the phones could be submerged underwater, they don’t have protection against dust.

In related news, the brand released the first camera sample shots of the Pro+ model. According to reports, the phone has a trio of cameras on its back, two of which are 50MP units.
