Red Magic 12 Pro+ to bring 185Hz full-display experience

Nubia says that the Red Magic 12 Pro+ will be the first to offer full-display technology with up to 185Hz refresh rate.

The Red Magic model will launch on October 15. The phone is expected to carry a handful of upgrades, from its chip to a bigger water cooling system.

Earlier, the brand also shared that it will feature the ninth-generation under-display technology for the selfie camera. This gives users the full display by removing the unnecessary cutout for the selfie camera. Nubia says, nonetheless, that there is one more detail to underscore about the screen.

In addition to supporting a general 165Hz system, the phone can reach up to 185Hz in certain games, with over 35 titles supported, including Subway Surfers, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Temple Run, and more.

Nubia says that the Red Magic 12 Pro+ will house a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. It is also coming with an 8400mAh battery, which is much larger than the 7500mAh cell in the Red Magic 11 Pro+. Like its predecessor, the phone is also said to support 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. It will be offered in three colors called Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Ice Blue, and Transparent Silver Wing.
