Redmi K100 series’ hike to be lower vs. rivals’

Rumors about a price increase for the Redmi K100 series have resurfaced. Nonetheless, a reputable leaker says it won’t be as high as its competitors’. 

The next Redmi K lineup is now in the works. Like the other upcoming devices, the series is expected to face a price increase. Digital Chat Station, however, assured consumers that its hike won’t be as steep as those on other smartphones.

The alleged price of the Redmi K100 Pro Max was previously reported. It is believed to start at the same current price range as the K90 Pro Max. To recall, the model debuted at a base price of CN¥3999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration. It was later slapped with a price hike in China, where it now starts at CN¥4199. Yet a separate report claimed the phone could see a $145 (CN¥992) price increase.

The Pro Max model is expected to feature the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC as the Redmi K90 Pro Max. On a positive note, the device will get a camera upgrade by getting a new 200MP lens, either in the main camera or the telephoto.
