The Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max have finally arrived, featuring powerful chips, flawless displays, huge batteries, and more.
The new Redmi devices sport almost identical designs, featuring two circular rear camera cutouts. Both also come in several colorways, including a new Sunshine Orange variant available for the Max model.
As usual, the Turbo 5 Max is the more capable of the two. It houses the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also has a massive 9000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 27W wired reverse charging. It is also important to note that its power management is further enhanced by the Xiaomi Surge P3 charging chip and Xiaomi Surge G1 self-developed power meter chip.
On its back, it boasts a camera system led by a 50MP Light Fusion 600 sensor with OIS. In front, meanwhile, it has a 6.83″ 120Hz M10 AMOLED with a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The regular model dials these details back, starting with its Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, which is also pretty impressive in its own way. While its battery has a lower capacity, it is still pretty huge at 7560mAh and supports the same charging capabilities as the other phone. Moreover, it is protected by IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and it also features the same 3D ice-cooled circulation system technology and charging chips as its sibling.
