Oppo is now accepting pre-orders for the Reno 16 series. According to the brand, the series will also be offered alongside the Oppo Bubble detachable accessory.
The new Reno models are now in China and are expected to enter the global market soon. In addition to Europe and India, Asian markets like Indonesia and Malaysia will also receive the devices.
The series microsite on Oppo’s official websites for the respective countries is now live, confirming their upcoming arrival. According to the pages, Indonesia will welcome the series on July 3, while Malaysia will have it on July 8.
The series models in the said markets include the Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16F.
The vanilla model will be offered in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB, with color options including Pop White and Twilight Violet.
The Pro variant will come in a single 12GB/512GB configuration, with color options available in Pop White and Starlight Black.
Ultimately, the F model will be available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options, with colors including Dream Purple, Pop White, and Twilight Violet.
The phones, specifically the standard and Pro models, are expected to arrive with different specs than their Chinese counterparts. For instance, both will feature compact 6.32-inch displays, unlike the versions in China, which have two different screen sizes. The Reno 16 will also be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the Pro will rely on the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SoC.
In the battery department, the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro are rumored to house 6000mAh and 6700mAh batteries, respectively.
There will also be the Reno 16F, rumored to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, a 6500mAh battery with 45W charging, and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera.
In addition to the phones, one of the key highlights of the unveiling is the Oppo Bubble. To recall, the accessory was first unveiled in China. The new accessory serves as a rear display, allowing users to take selfies using the main camera lenses. Like in China, the attachment will also be sold separately.
