Xiaomi just released Xiaomi 12S series. Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra are the models announced today, in July 4 event. Xiaomi 12S series are different than Xiaomi 12 series with their CPU, camera systems and color variants.

Design
The design of the 12S and 12S Pro has same characteristics as previous models Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The color variants are different on 12S series.
12S will come in 4 different colors.
Display
Display is the key factor in smartphones but sadly it’s same as previous Xiaomi 12 series. 12S has same display as 12 and 12S Pro has same display as 12 Pro. LTPO 2.0 can change refresh rate between 1-120.

Battery
Xiaomi has announced that Xiaomi 12S offers 15% better battery performance than Xiaomi 12 with help of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, new battery and also new Surge charging chips. Read the related article here.

In introduction event Xiaomi made a battery comparison between iPhone. Both phones were used in same brightness levels and Xiaomi 12S lasted 12.6 hours on TikTok app meanwhile iPhone lasted 9.7 hours.
Camera
The camera has evolved into the most crucial component of the smartphone year after year. 12S Ultra is rising star among the 12S series but regular models (12S and 12S Pro) have solid camera setup.
Xiaomi stated they updated their photo processing algorithm.

Besides all the camera modules Xiaomi states they optimized the camera app to making it possible to shoot photos with low shutter better. They claim camera app on Xiaomi 12S series launches faster than iPhone.
