Ahead of Xiaomi’s announcements and teasers, images of the alleged Xiaomi 16 model have emerged online.
The lineup is rumored to arrive in the fourth week of the month. Ahead of that week, we’ve already been hearing a handful of leaks about the models, including their specs. Now, a more interesting leak has arrived that gives us a peek at the Xiaomi 16 model.

In a post, tipster Ice Universe shared the alleged rendered image of the handheld, which sports extremely thin symmetrical bezels and a small punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The main highlight of the post, nonetheless, is the rounded corners of the display, giving it a soft look. According to the account, the phone will have the roundest corners among smartphones in the market.
Meanwhile, a photo leak shows the alleged live unit of a Xiaomi 16 series phone. In the photos, the back of the handheld is shown, revealing its horizontal rectangular camera island. Two circular lens cutouts are placed vertically on the left side of the module, leading to speculations that the blank space could be for the phone’s rear display. To recall, earlier reports claimed that Xiaomi is bringing back the feature we saw in the Xiaomi 11 Ultra.

As per reports, the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max would house 7000mAh, 6300mAh, and 7500mAh batteries, respectively. The entire Xiaomi 16 series will also support 100W charging and use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The Pro model is said to offer a flat LTPO OLED measuring 6.8″ and has eye protection tech. Leaks also revealed that the standard Xiaomi 16 model will measure 6.5″ inches, while the Pro Mini will have displays measuring 6.3 inches. The vanilla and Pro models will also feature 50MP1/1.3″ main cameras. Other reports specified that the system features a 50MP SmartSens 590 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with macro. The model also reportedly offers a 50MP selfie lens, which even supports autofocus and 4K recording at 60fps.
