The Xiaomi 17 Max rumor mill continues to reveal several details, including its alleged launch next month.
According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi model is set to debut in the second quarter. Reputable leaker Digital Chat Station earlier claimed that it would be in May. Now, the same tipster is back, further narrowing the timeline to a late-May arrival. Yet he underscored that it remains tentative, so some adjustments to the date could still occur.
DCS also revealed that the Max phone will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a flat display with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and LIPO tech for ultra-thin bezels, a 200MP main camera, a periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, an 8000mAh+ battery, full water resistance, and two color options (black and white).
According to other rumors, the Xiaomi 17 Max could also feature 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds, a 200MP 1/1.4″ Samsung ISOCELL HPE main camera, 50MP ultrawide unit, and a 50MP 1/1.95″ Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto lens. The phone is also allegedly adopting some features from its series siblings, including a metal frame, an IP68 rating, and more.
