Xiaomi announced that the Xiaomi 17 Pro models would be equipped with the 50MP Light Hunter 950L sensor. In line with this, several sample photos taken using the models were shared online.
The Chinese giant confirmed that both the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max are equipped with the 50MP Light Hunter 950L sensor as their main camera. The new sensor is said to employ the 22nm process and boasts a 1/1.28″ size, f/1.67 aperture (for the Pro model; the Pro Max reportedly has a telephoto with a wider f/2.6 aperture), the new LOFIC 3.0 tech, and 16EV (stops/Exposure Value) of dynamic range. The main camera will be complemented by a 17mm ultrawide and a 115mm periscope telephoto with 5X optical zoom. The system is also launching with some optical coatings to prevent ghosting, fogging, and glare.
