Xiaomi Phones That Everyone Thinks Are Good But Not Good

There are some Xiaomi devices that almost everyone knows by name, e.g. Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo). You might say it’s an excellent device since it’s so popular, but it’s actually not that good.

There are many examples of Xiaomi devices like this in the past. Let’s take a look at the list.

Mi A2 Lite (daisy)

Xiaomi’s Android One series devices were already unpopular, still this device didn’t meet expectations. Mi A2 Lite (daisy) device was introduced in the second generation of Xiaomi’s Android One series in 2018. Privilege of device is to come with pure Android (AOSP), not MIUI. Why is Mi A2 Lite Bad?

Included Snapdragon 625 on a device released in June 2018 is a little bad. Cameras aren’t that great, and it still uses the micro-USB port, making it bad.

This is latest Android One device. With this, Xiaomi has released its 4th Android One device and abandoned the series. While there were other Xiaomi devices, this series wasn’t preferred. Device specs are below and here

Why is Mi A3 Bad?

Using a 6″ device with HD+ screen will be a bad experience for your eyes. Moreover, many Mi A3 devices have been hardbricked in Android 11 update given by Xiaomi, it’s a bad device.

Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo)

That famous device that people talk about, Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo). Everyone thinks that this device, which was released towards the end of 2019, will compete with mid-range, even flagship devices. However, it is not as perfect a device as it is exaggerated. Device specs are below and here

Why is Redmi Note 8 Bad?

Device could have a better processor, many users complain of lagging and MIUI bugs. Although there are 4 cameras, other 3 cameras are useless and bad. Device doesn’t have waterproof resistant and IPS screen offers a bad experience than AMOLED. As a result, this device isn’t as good as it’s exaggerated, just a another price/performance Redmi product.

Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia)

Another popular device is Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia), even more popular than Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo). This device was also highly praised, but it isn’t that perfect. Device specs are below and here

Why is Redmi Note 8 Pro Bad?

Most of the items in Note 8 also apply here. Users say that in the long-run, device slows down and laggs. Moreover, 64MP camera may sound great to you, but pics quality isn’t that good.

Redmi Note 9S/Pro (curtana)

There is a another Redmi Note device, Note 9S/Pro (curtana) was released in 2020 and typically most features are the same as Redmi Note 8/Pro. Device specs are below and here

Why is Redmi Note 9S/Pro Bad?

It’s no different from predecessor devices, there is no innovation. Xiaomi only added a on screen camera, but screen panel is still IPS. Moreover, users claim that the Snapdragon 720G processor is bad, so device is bulky and laggy. It’s a very thick and heavy device, offering poor quality use. And huge battery like 5020mAh charges very slowly at 18W. A phone that charges in 2 hours is annoying, isn’t it?
