Xiaomi has seemingly teased its alleged wide foldable model while showcasing its HyperOS 4 UI.
The HyperOS 4 public beta testing has now started. When the Chinese giant shared materials for the update showing several UI features, one of the things that caught fans’ attention was an unnamed wide foldable smartphone.
The brand did not provide the moniker or details of the phone, but the image shows it features thick bezels and an inner selfie camera in the upper-right corner of the display. The photo also shows that the phone has an optimized UI.
The news is not new, as an earlier leak revealed some wide-aspect-ratio UI layouts the brand had been preparing for the device in question.
Currently, there are no further details about this device, but the brand may include it in its lineup, likely the Mix Fold. It could also join Xiaomi’s numbered flagship series, prompting some to refer to it as the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
