The battery components of the Xiaomi 17 series models have surfaced, allowing us to confirm their capacities.
The series is coming this Thursday in China and is expected to be offered globally soon. While we already know many details about the lineup’s models, the brand has yet to reveal some of their specs.
Now, thanks to a leak, the battery capacities of the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max have been divulged. According to the images, the series comes with three batteries: BM6H, BM72, and BM6N.
The first battery, the L-shaped Jinshajiang battery, in the photo has a 6150mAh rated capacity (6300mAh typical) and is said to be for the Xiaomi 17 Pro. The second one, another L-shaped battery, has a 7300mAh rated capacity (7500mAh typical) and will be for the Pro Max. Ultimately, the third one with the 6660mAh rated capacity (6800mAh typical) will be used for the Xiaomi 17.
According to earlier reports, all the series models support 100W charging and use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The Pro and Pro Max are reportedly sharing similarities in their camera systems, but the latter is expected to get a better telephoto unit. According to a leak, the Pro model boasts a triple 50MP Leica camera setup with a 50MP f/1.67 main camera, a 17mm ultrawide, and an f3.0 115mm telephoto unit with a 5X optical zoom. The Pro Max model is also said to house the same main and ultrawide Leica camera units. However, the variant is rumored to have a better telephoto with a wider f/2.6 aperture.
