A reputable tipster shared the alleged specifications of the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro.
The series is now open for pre-orders in China ahead of its expected launch this month. As we wait for their official launch date, leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed some of their details.
According to DCS, both the standard and Pro models have a metal frame and, interestingly, the same rear camera system, which features a 200MP HP5 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto.
In other sections, the Reno 16 Pro is reportedly coming with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, a 6.78″ flat 1.5K OLED, and a 7000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. An earlier report revealed that it could be offered in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations, with colors including white, black, purple, and green.
The Reno 16, on the other hand, is said to offer a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chip, a 6.32″ flat 1.5K OLED, and a 6700mAh battery with 80W charging.
The most interesting part of the tip is the alleged “electronic buzzer” and “smart electronic screen” in the series. While the former could be an Action Button on the side of the phones, we’re unsure whether the latter is a secondary display or something else. It could also be a new feature in the series, offering some new capabilities. According to DCS, some of its capabilities include custom wallpapers and remote shooting.
