Vivo X Fold 6 official cam samples released; ZEISS Teleconverter G2 support confirmed

Vivo has published some sample shots taken using the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 foldable. According to the brand, the phone also works with the ZEISS Teleconverter G2 attachment.

The foldable is designed to be a productivity-focused handheld, which explains its several AI-supported features, including the Parallel Mode and Atomic Workbench. Now, the brand has revealed that the next X Fold also carries a flagship-level camera system, featuring a 200MP 1/1.4” (f/1.68) Samsung HPB main camera with CIPA 4.5 and a Sony LYT-602 ZEISS APO periscope telephoto camera.

Interestingly, Vivo also confirmed that the device supports the ZEISS Teleconverter G2 attachment. This gives it a further reach, up to an equivalent focal length of 200mm. To recall, its predecessor does not work with Vivo’s official extenders, but it offers a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.

Other details expected from the Vivo X Fold 6 include the Vivo V3+ imaging chip and portrait focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 100mm. Earlier reports claimed the Vivo X Fold 6 would be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor and a 7000mAh+ battery. It is also reportedly coming with an 8.02″ Samsung M14 foldable internal display, while its front boasts a 6.51″ cover display. Both support 5000nits peak brightness and 1nit low-brightness mode. There will be two 20MP selfie cameras, one external and one internal. Its main camera system will allegedly include a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto. Ultimately, there will be full water resistance. To recall, the Vivo X Fold 5 features IP5X, IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ ratings.
