Oppo Reno 17 design, specs leak; Pro model reportedly not coming globally

A live image of the Oppo Reno 17 has surfaced online, along with new information about the phone. Meanwhile, a new tip says that the Oppo Reno 17 Pro will not go global.

According to the leak, the vanilla Reno 17 will have a similar design to the Reno 16, featuring a square camera island with an internal pill-shaped element. The phone is also reportedly almost similar to its predecessor, including the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and cameras. The only upgrades coming to the phone might be the newer ColorOS 17 and a larger battery. To recall, the Reno 16 in India has LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, a 6.31″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup (50MP main camera with OIS + 50MP ultrawide + 50MP telephoto with OIS), a 50MP selfie camera, a 6700mAh battery, 80W charging, and ColorOS 16.0.

Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 17 is reportedly not coming to India, though it may still arrive in China. The lineup is allegedly composed of two models with small and large displays. One of the models is also said to be coming with a 200MP camera.

According to an earlier leak, Oppo is considering adding support for teleconverters in the Oppo Reno 17 series. Currently, Oppo’s modular Hasselblad teleconverter attachments are available only on the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Pro models. Options include 230mm and 300mm teleconverter lenses.
