The Red Magic 12 Pro+ is finally here, offering upgraded game-focused specs.
Nubia introduced some significant improvements in the phone, starting with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, which is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. There’s also a bigger 8400mAh battery, which supports not only 120W wired and 80W wireless charging, but also bypass and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Its front sports a 6.85” 1216x2688px AMOLED, which, of course, offers a full-display experience, so there’s no punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Moreover, it now supports a 185Hz refresh rate, thanks to the RedCore R5 gaming chip, which also brings 2K upscaling, ray tracing, and 185Hz frame interpolation.
To manage heat, there’s an IPX8-rated 25,500RPM cooling fan with graphene-based thermal materials. There’s also a dual-loop liquid cooling system that manages the CPU and battery, and Nubia says it is more powerful than the one found in its predecessor.
The Red Magic 12 Pro+ comes in Nightfreeze, Subzero, and Skyfrost colorways. Its configurations include 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, priced at CN¥6,999 ($980), CN¥7,999 ($1,120), and CN¥8,999 ($1,260), respectively. There’s also a Golden Saga edition, which comes in 24GB/1TB configuration.
The phone will soon launch globally as the Red Magic 12 Pro.
