Thanks to a new tip from a reliable leaker, several details of the Honor GT 2 and Honor GT 2 Pro have been divulged.
Honor is reportedly working on the series already, and we expect several upgrades coming. Some of them were shared by Digital Chat Station from China, including the possible chips that will be used in the phones.
According to DCS, the vanilla GT 2 will employ the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Pro will have a more powerful SoC, thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. One of the models is said to house a 9000mAh+ battery, but both will share several similar details, including a 6.83″ 1.5K display, a 50MP main camera, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and a full water resistance rating. To recall, the vanilla GT has an IP65 rating, and the GT Pro has a higher IP68/IP69 rating.
As per earlier reports, Honor will also follow the trend of introducing 165Hz refresh rates this year by incorporating it into this series. We also expect 100W wireless charging and a maximum 24GB/1TB configuration.
