If you are planning to get the Honor Robot Phone, or you already have it, you might want to be extra careful not to damage its gimbal camera.
The new Honor phone is now in China. The device boasts the industry’s smallest 4D titanium gimbal system, which is 65% smaller than conventional gimbals in the market. Apart from its 200MP 1/1.28″ main camera and a 200MP 1/1.4″ periscope telephoto lens with 2.7x optical zoom, it also offers a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 6.3″ 1-120Hz OLED, a 7060mAh battery, 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and more.
With these high-end specs, it is not a surprise that it generated a high demand in China, with pre-orders alone reaching over 400,000. This is impressive, given that the phone has a base price of CN¥9,999 ($1,483).
However, according to the new details shared by the brand, users can spend more should the gimbal camera is destroyed. According to the brand’s repair pricing list, the camera alone costs CN¥3,079.
Unsurprisingly, this is not the costliest item on the list. According to Honor, motherboard repairs for the 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB models cost CN¥4,599 (684)andCN¥6,599(982), respectively.
