The Huawei Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design is finally official after some wait.
The new device is the third trifold offering of the Chinese giant, following the release of the original Mate XT and the Mate XTs.
The brand introduced some upgrades to the phone, including its new Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. In addition to its new NPU and GPU, the chip is said to be 42% faster than the SoC of the Mate XTs. Even more, Huawei introduced a super-high-end configuration with 16GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and a stylus.
Unlike Huawei’s earlier trifold generations, the Mate XT 2 also features a new folding mechanism. This prompted the company to include a dedicated external display on the phone. It is complemented by a new G-shaped hinge and basalt glass, with the latter offering improved drop and scratch resistance compared to the layer found in the earlier trifold.
The Huawei Mate XT 2 is available in black, white, and purple variants. It starts at CN¥19,999 ($2,980) for a 16GB/256GB variant, while its highest 16GB/2TB configuration sells for CN¥29,999 ($4,470).
