Huawei teases Pura 80 series’ powerful dynamic range

The Huawei Pura 80 series could offer an excellent dynamic range, as indicated by the brand’s recent marketing clip.

The new lineup is launching in China on June 11. Ahead of the date, the Chinese giant continues to build up the hype for the new Pura phones. After revealing its design and powerful camera zoom, Huawei is back teasing its dynamic range.

The video clip does not actually share the specifics of the series. Yet, it highlights the Pura 80’s ability to capture a significant amount of details, both in light and dark setups, when recording videos.

The new teaser follows the brand’s earlier campaigns to highlight the upcoming lineup’s impressive camera system. To recall, a leak earlier revealed that the series has a “switchable telephoto lens.” According to the patent, it has a movable prism that can switch between the phone’s telephoto and super-telephoto units. This lets lenses with different focal lengths share a single CMOS, translating to more space in the phone’s camera section.

Two earlier clips also showcased the focal lengths of one of the Huawei Pura 80 models, including its 48mm, 89mm, and 240mm. According to the clip, it can allow users to employ 10x to 20x zoom, which could be hybrid.

According to reports, the vanilla variant has a 50MP 1″ main camera with a variable aperture, a 50MP 1/1.3″ secondary lens with a dual focal length, a 40MP ultrawide, and a 2MP color sensor. The higher variants, meanwhile, are said to offer better camera systems, including Huawei’s new in-house lenses, the SC5A0CS and SC590XS. The new Ultra model is allegedly armed with a 50MP 1″ main camera paired with a 50MP ultrawide unit and a large periscope with a 1/1.3″ sensor. The system also allegedly implements a variable aperture for the main camera. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro model is also expected to use Huawei’s new lens. The phone is allegedly coming with a SmartSens 50MP 1″ SC5A0CS for its main camera.
