OnePlus fans will be disappointed to know that the next flagship of the brand will not offer wireless charging support.
The model is one of the most anticipated smartphone models in the market now, with rumors claiming that it could be announced in December. Various leaks about the phone have already surfaced in the past, including its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, new design, and micro quad-curved panels. However, while many expect that most of the departments of the phone will get an upgrade, leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that there’s one section that would be downgraded: its charging capability.
According to the tipster, the phone will indeed have a huge 6000mAh battery (an upgrade from the 5400mAh in the OnePlus 12) and the same 100W wired charging as its predecessor. However, DCS underlined that the OnePlus 13 will not be armed with the same 50W wireless (also the 10W reverse wireless) as the OnePlus 12.
No other reasons are shared explaining OnePlus’s move about the matter, but it is undeniably bad news for anticipating fans. Needless to say, this also means the end of one of the best features of the OnePlus flagships, with the OnePlus 12 boasting one of the fastest wireless charging capabilities in the industry. To recall, the phone can wirelessly charge its battery to 100% within just 55 minutes.
