OnePlus is reportedly planning to make 185Hz standard among its upcoming mid-range and flagship models.
In addition to introducing bigger batteries, smartphone manufacturers are also focusing on improving the displays of their latest devices. One of these brands is OnePlus, which is rumored to implement 185Hz in its next devices.
To recall, the OnePlus 15 sports a 165Hz screen. The OnePlus 16 is allegedly coming with a 185Hz display. Tipster Smart Pikachu, nonetheless, claims that it is not the only model that will benefit from a high refresh rate in the future.
According to the leaker, the Chinese brand will also use the said refresh rate in its next flagships and mid-rangers. Two of the rumored models include the OnePlus 16R, OnePlus Ace 7, and OnePlus Nord 7.
The news is no surprise, since we also heard earlier that iQOO also has the same plan. As per previous reports, the iQOO 16 has a 185Hz display, an upgrade over the iQOO 15’s 6.85″ flat Samsung M14 2K (3168×1440px) 144Hz LTPO AMOLED. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 16 is also reportedly coming with a 185Hz display and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Currently, the brand’s flagship phone features a 50MP f/2.8 telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. Sadly, both phones are expected to face a $145 price hike.
