Oppo has addressed complaints that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is experiencing a software issue that causes pink tints in recorded videos.
The Oppo model is still fresh in the market, but it has already been experiencing a problem. According to some users in China, the model tends to turn white objects pink when recorded with the phone’s main and ultrawide cameras. While the issue has little to no effect on the telephoto unit, applying 2x zoom on the first two aforementioned cameras can trigger the problem. The issue reportedly recurs even after restarting the phone, suggesting it is indeed a software issue.
In line with this, the brand has acknowledged the concern and promised to deliver an OTA update to fix it later this month.
Prior to its arrival, the brand significantly underscored the phone’s flagship camera capabilities and hardware, which include a 200MP 1/1.12″ Sony LYT-901 main camera with OIS, a 200MP OmniVision OV52A periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Samsung JNL periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom and sensor shift optical stabilization. Software-wise, the Ultra phone also impresses, thanks to its 50MP JPEG MAX, 50MP RAW MAX, improved Hasselblad Master Mode, 16-bit max color depth, Hasselblad XPAN mode, 4K 120fps, 8K 30fps video, O-Log2 Log, and more. It also supports the Oppo Hasselblad 300mm Explorer Teleconverter attachment.
