A new leak suggests that the Oppo Reno 18 series could also arrive with a square selfie camera.
The news follows earlier leaks saying that several brands are considering using square selfie cameras in their next flagship smartphones. According to a report, Oppo will use a 100MP square selfie camera in the Oppo Find X10 series, and it will allegedly employ a Samsung lens with a 1/2.5″ size.
Now, tipster Digital Chat Station suggests in a new post that the Reno 16 series will also get the same treatment. Unlike the upcoming Find series, however, it will reportedly have a 68MP unit. The post also hints that the next Reno lineup will feature a lightweight, slim body.
To recall, the technology is present in the iPhone 17 series. Instead of the conventional 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio, the Cupertino giant offers a 1:1 front-facing camera in its devices, allowing users to capture both vertical and horizontal photos and videos without physically rotating the phone.
