Realme GT 8 Pro’s interchangeable camera modules showcased

Ahead of its debut, we get to see the Realme GT 8 Pro’s swappable camera module design.

The Realme GT 8 series will be unveiled in China on October 21. It is expected to bring upgrades in various departments, but its main highlight is the replaceable camera island design.

A handful of new materials that surfaced online showcased all three modules: Robot, Circular, and Square. According to the images, the Robot module is the base design of the Realme GT 8 Pro, while the Square and Circular modules are additional accessories that users can screw on.

Interestingly, the modules appear in various colors, including a transparent amber square shape.

The materials also show the two colorways of the GT 8 Pro. While the white version comes with a glass material for its back, the green one appears to have a recycled leather material. The package reportedly includes a special screwdriver and spare screws for the interchangeable modules.

Both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are expected to offer a 2K 144Hz display, a 3D ultrasonic sensor, and metal frames. The Pro will also feature a 7000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, an R1 gaming graphics chip, Android 16-based Realme UI 6, and 120W charging. It is also expected to arrive with an IP69 rating, better haptics, and a trio of camera lenses (50MP LYT-808 1/1.4″ main camera with OIS + 50MP JN5 ultrawide + 200MP 1/1.56″ HP5 periscope telephoto with telemacro).
