A new certification leak reveals that Xiaomi is now preparing the Redmi K90 Pro Max for an international debut. However, in the said market, the phone will be named the Poco F8 Ultra.
The K90 series is launching this Thursday in China. While we are still waiting for the domestic debut of the K90 Pro Max, a leak shows that Xiaomi is already preparing it for a global launch.
According to an NBTC certification, Xiaomi is working on a device with a 25102PCBEG model number. While it is listed as the Poco F8 Ultra, the device’s model identification confirms that it is the Redmi K90 Pro Max, which has a 25102RKBEC model number. The phone is expected to launch in the coming months or early next year.
Given the similar identity of the models, the Poco model could arrive with a set of specs identical to those of its Redmi counterpart. According to reports, the Pro Max model features the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which is complemented by a D2 graphics chip. The phone also uses a 6,700mm² 3D ice-cooling system and could offer LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, a 6.9″ 2K 1-120Hz AMOLED, a 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 950 main sensor (alongside a Samsung JN5 5x periscope telephoto and an OV50M ultrawide unit), a 20MP selfie camera, a 7650mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP68/69 ratings.
