Redmi to release a 9000mAh± model, and it could be a Turbo

A new leak from China suggests that Xiaomi is developing a smartphone model with a battery capacity of approximately 9,000mAh. Although not named, speculation points to the Redmi Turbo series.

Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the news, noting that the battery capacity has been finalized recently. The account also pointed out that the phone supports 100W wired charging. Moreover, the company is also allegedly developing a 10,000mAh± battery, which could also be used in another model soon.

The 9000mAh device was not specified, but rumors circulating online suggest that it could be the Redmi Turbo 5, which has been mentioned in recent weeks. This corroborates earlier reports about the series, which is reportedly set to debut this November.

Despite the huge battery size, the series is expected to measure only 8.5mm in thickness. According to DCS in a post, the phone’s camera island design will be “simple,” so we expect a very conventional look for the device. To recall, the Turbo 4 series has a vertical pill-shaped module. In front, the phone is reportedly equipped with a flat 1.5K LTPS display and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It also reportedly has metal side frames and supports full waterproof protection. To recall, its predecessor has IP66/68/69 ratings.
