The Redmi Turbo 5 will soon be rebadged globally as the Poco X8 Pro. Yet, despite being a renamed model, the latter will house a smaller cell.
The Turbo 5 series will be unveiled in China this Thursday. The lineup includes the standard Turbo 5 and the Turbo 5 Max, which share almost identical designs. According to reports, both models will also be released in other markets under different monikers.
The vanilla variant will be called the Poco X8 Pro, which was earlier spotted on various certification platforms carrying the 2511FPC34G model number. The device is expected to have the same design as its Redmi counterpart and will even debut with an Iron Man Edition.

In other sections, the phone could also borrow the same set of specifications as its Chinese sibling. However, it is rumored to come with a smaller battery with a capacity of less than 1500mAh. To recall, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Turbo 5 has a 7560mAh battery. This means global fans can expect a cell of at least 6000mAh if rumors are true. On a positive note, the Poco device could still support the same 100W charging.
As per reports, the Turbo 5 will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a 6.59″ 1.5K LTPS display, a metal frame, and a glass back panel. It is also believed to offer a 7560mAh battery, 100W wired and 27W reverse wired charging support, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a thickness of 8.5mm, and full waterproof protection (IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K).
