According to a new leak, the OnePlus 16 will not be launched in India.
The news follows an earlier claim that the brand is considering whether it will also offer its next flagship model in India. However, leaker Debayan Roy claims that “it is almost confirmed” the phone won’t be offered in the country.
The phone is believed to be a China-exclusive this time. This is not a surprise, following the brand’s confirmation of its exit from Europe and the US. Though it says that its Indian operations will go as usual, it remains to be seen if its business strategy will still include offering the latest flagships.
According to earlier reports, the OnePlus 16 is reportedly coming with a 185Hz display and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Currently, the brand’s flagship phone features a 50MP f/2.8 telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. Sadly, the phone is expected to face a $145 price hike.
