Xiaomi 15 Ultra to have self-developed ‘Small Surge’ chip

A new leak claims that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature the company’s self-developed Small Surge chip.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra should launch soon, with recent leaks saying it will be next month. Given this, it is no surprise that we have been getting a bunch of leaks recently. The latest one comes from tipster account @That_Kartikey on X, who shared that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would house a self-developed chip from the brand, calling it “Small Surge.”

The chip’s specifications were not shared, but it is believed to contribute to the Ultra model’s performance and battery departments, just like the past Surge chips.

To recall, Xiaomi has a series of Surge chips that aid in the charging, battery life, and performance of the brand’s smartphones. Some include the Surge S1, Surge G1, Surge T1S, and Surge T1.

Based on past Surge chips, the upcoming Xiaomi Small Surge chip may offer better performance, covering various phone areas, from battery to communication.
