Xiaomi is reportedly using bigger batteries in the upcoming Xiaomi 16 series, one of which offers a high 7500mAh capacity.
The lineup is expected to arrive in the last week of the month. According to earlier reports, the models are getting some upgrades in various sections, including in their batteries.
In a new tip, reputable leaker Yogesh Brar shared the alleged battery capacities of three Xiaomi models. According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max would house 7000mAh, 6300mAh, and 7500mAh batteries, respectively. To compare, the vanilla Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro debuted in October last year with 5400mAh and 6100mAh batteries. Meanwhile, the upcoming Pro Max model could offer the biggest battery in any flagship in the market.
According to earlier leaks, the entire Xiaomi 16 series will support 100W charging and use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The Pro model is said to offer a flat LTPO OLED measuring 6.8″ and has eye protection tech. Leaks also revealed that the standard Xiaomi 16 model will measure 6.5″ inches, while the Pro Mini will have displays measuring 6.3 inches. The vanilla and Pro models will also feature 50MP1/1.3″ main cameras. Other reports specified that the system features a 50MP SmartSens 590 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with macro.
