Well-known leaker Digital Chat Station shared that Xiaomi backed out from its plan to include a satellite communication feature in its MIX Flip and MIX Fold 4 models.
MIX Flip and MIX Fold4 are two of the most-awaited smartphone models now. In the past, different reports revealed some of the exciting features and hardware expected from the two. However, it seems there will be a huge change in one section of both models: their satellite communication capability.
According to Digital Chat Station, the feature will no longer be introduced in both models. It would have signaled Xiaomi’s move to challenge Apple’s Emergency SOS Via Satellite feature. As earlier reports shared, Xiaomi plans to make the capability two-way, allowing users to also receive calls. No other details about the satellite feature were shared aside from that, but the company would likely partner with third-party firms for this, which is the current case with Apple.
Despite the cancellation claims, DCS shared that the Chinese smartphone brand would still inject some amazing improvements in its new creations. According to the tipster, both models will be armed with a telephoto camera lens alongside a “large” battery.
