Civi 2 is to be released in 5 days and Civi 2 camera specifications just revealed by Xiaomi! It will be launched on September 27th at 14:00 in China. Despite the China launch, we assume that Civi 2 will be released as Xiaomi 12 Lite NE in global markets however it is not clear yet how the global branding will be.
On Xiaomi Civi series, Xiaomi focuses on good selfie camera capabilities and a compact design. It weighs 171.8 grams and it has 7.23mm of thickness. It’s a bit heavier and thicker than the original Civi, but it’s still a fairly compact device.
Civi 2 camera specifications
Xiaomi has always introduced their phones without auto focus. Even the latest flagship by Xiaomi, Xiaomi 12S Ultra doesn’t have a selfie camera with auto focus unfortunately. All Civi phones offer auto focus on the selfie camera including original Civi and Civi 1S and the Civi 2 is no exception for sure.
Civi 2 features 2 front facing cameras. One is wide and the other one is ultra wide camera, both can take 32 MP images. It has ALD anti-glare coating and f/2.0 aperture for more clear selfie shots in low light. Also the ultra wide camera has 100° field of view.
Civi 2 will also feature a special VLOG mode. It offers various effects and color presets inside the camera app. And Civi 2 features triple camera setup at the back.
Xiaomi Civi 2 features same main rear camera as Xiaomi 12. It has Sony IMX766 sensor with 50 MP resoluton and f/1.8 aperture. Xiaomi hasn’t shared about the other rear cameras. It’s not official but we assume it will feature an ultrawide and a macro camera.
Civi 2 is expected to launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Full HD 120 Hz display. Even though it’s a selfie oriented device it’s a pretty good midranger with its display with high refresh rate and a powerful CPU. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is faster than the previous Snapdragon 778G which is used on original Xiaomi Civi.
