In addition to Xiaomi, Honor is reportedly planning to follow Samsung’s path in equipping its devices with a Privacy Display feature.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra shook the industry with its Privacy Display when it launched earlier this year. While the brand, which also happens to be a display manufacturer, is reportedly planning to offer this feature to its competitors as well, some Chinese giants are believed to be working on their own to offer it soon.
Weeks ago, we heard Xiaomi is developing the same technology, albeit it will be software-based. A recent tip, however, said that the Chinese giant is also working on a hardware-based solution, a 2K display now under testing. It is believed to be coming to the Xiaomi 18 Pro series.
Interestingly, Honor is also reportedly planning its own moves. As per a tip, it is now collaborating with a Chinese display manufacturer. Details about this Honor feature are yet to be revealed, so we are still clueless about how effective it is compared to its Samsung counterpart.
The names of Honor phones receiving the feature are also still under wraps, but it is likely coming to the brand’s flagships. As per reports, it is now working on the Magic 9 series, which is rumored to debut in October. We also heard that the series could offer an 8000mAh battery and a 100MP square selfie camera.
